HDPE water pipes
Polyethylene pipes for water supply are used for constructing water-supply systems and are made from high density polyethylene, PE80, PE100 and PE100-RC, in accordance with the SRPS EN 12201 (MRS ≥ 8 MPa, i.e. MRS ≥ 10 MPa) to a quality standard that guarantees undiminished strain resistance even after 50 years of use.
The pipes made using the PE100-RC material are intended for installation and placement in stone grounds, where it is not necessary to provide a sand bedding or a subsequent backfill of the trench. The advantages of the pipes produced from the PE100-RC material include:
- Resistance to stress points,
- Resistance to fast expansion of fissures and cracks,
- Highest available product reliability,
- Compatibility with similar types of PE pipes.
Polyethylene pipes are intended for the public, private and industrial water-supply systems, in the form of underground or surface pipelines, as well as for water-supply installations inside and outside of buildings.
Permanent heat exposure is allowed within the temperature range of up to +60°C, as well as momentary heat exposure of up to 80°C. The pipes are resistant to low temperatures. The pipes have smooth inner and outer surfaces. The nominal (outer) diameter ranges between DN 20 and DN 500 mm, whereas the working pressure includes the options of 4, 6, 8, 10, 12.5, 16, 20,25 and 32 bar.
The standard color is black, with co-extruded blue lines, and the pipes bear the following markings:
- * Code of standard: SRPS EN 12201,
- * Nominal diameter x wall thickness,
- * SDR marking,
- * Kind and type of material,
- * Working pressure, PN,
- * Producer’s sign and year of production,
- * Length in meters
The pipes are packed in coils between 50 and 500 m of length, while – depending on the diameter and pressure – they can also be supplied as 6m and 12m rods.
The connections can be in the form of separable and inseparable joints: The separable joints are made using connectors, and can be made of polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and cast iron (LG). The inseparable joints are the one made by welding: Butt welding and Electro-fusion welding.
The fitting is made using the same material as the pipe, enabling highly secure and efficient connection.
